Application Essay Writing for the Class of 2025
College application essays are not your typical school essays. Common mistakes include using your essays as a resume recap, trying to write what you think the reader wants to read, sounding like everyone else, and the list goes on. Learn the purpose of the application essay, successful strategies for brainstorming ideas, and how to write a strong application essay. Hint- the sooner you start, the better your odds of being remembered for the RIGHT reasons.
Where Should I Apply? How To Build A Strong College List

Understanding Financial Aid
Wondering how you will pay for college? Join the club! First you have to learn the terms – FAFSA, CSS Profile, scholarships, stacking vs. collapsing scholarships, institutional aid, athletic scholarships, need-blind, need-aware, net price calculators, and more. Once you are familiar with this new language, how do you leverage all the information to anticipate costs? This workshop will explain everything and provide valuable tools for making informed choices.
College for Neurodiverse Students
Neurodiversity is everywhere, but how is it reflected in the college experience? Whether high functioning autism, ADD, executive function struggles, or other learning differences, there are some colleges that support these students better than others. While IEPs and 504s don’t exist in higher education, having one is a huge help in documenting requests. This workshop will explain what accommodations you can expect, how to evaluate a college’s disability support services, and provide a list of colleges known to be neurodiverse friendly.
